The disaster caused spontaneous combustion after two cars were damaged, and three people were slightly injured. The injured people have been sent to the central hospital (inpatient department) for treatment in time. After preliminary on-site investigation, the cause of the incident was a sudden collapse of the surrounding mountains at the location of the No. 6 Bridge, causing a huge rock to wash away the single span bridge pier columns from Wanzhou to Dazhou, causing partial collapse of the bridge deck.

At present, the main line of this section has been closed in both directions, and all passing vehicles are diverted through the G65 Baomao Expressway Xujiaba Toll Station and the G5012 Enguang Expressway Panshi Toll Station.
