Born on August 6, 1963, he is an American Computer security consultant, writer and hacker.

At the age of 16, he was tracked and arrested by a computer tracking machine after conducting social engineering to crack the password of Pacific Telecom and modify the phone numbers of tens of thousands of American households in the pay phone system. As a result, he became the world's first internet juvenile delinquent. After being released from prison, he modified many of the company's financial statements, which led to his arrest and imprisonment for another year.

However, Mitnick did not stop after his release. Later, he successfully hacked into the computers of Nokia, Motorola, Shengyang, Fujitsu and other companies to steal important enterprise information. The FBI once counted the losses he had brought to these companies as high as 400 million dollars.

After being released from prison, he ran Mitnick Security Consulting (LLC), which helped test security strengths, weaknesses, and potential vulnerabilities. He was also the Chief Hacker Officer of KnowBe4, a security awareness training company.

IT Home reported in April this year that he used 24 RTX4090 graphics cards and 6 RTX2080 graphics cards to build a supercomputer for password cracking, which he referred to as the "badasspassword cracker".
