Recently, Kaspersky and thin client mechanism manufacturer Centerm signed a strategic cooperation agreement to begin delivering software products based on the Kaspersky OS on a global scale.

This cooperation is for Shengteng Information and Kaspersky to carry out the evaluation of joint business development activities in the fields of desktop, cloud computing, edge computing and digital solutions in overseas markets. As an independent software provider (ISV), Kaspersky provides the Kaspersky operating system (KasperskyOS) and related network immunity products and solutions, as well as network security products in its existing product portfolio. In addition, Ascension Information provides hardware platforms (thin clients, tablets, and other hardware end user platforms) for enterprise customers.

According to IDC's prediction, the thin client market is expected to achieve a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6% between 2021 and 2026. Thin clients are expected to achieve growth during the forecast period, mainly due to their advantages in reducing costs and energy consumption, centralized and accessible manageability, and enhanced infrastructure security.

Kaspersky Thin Client is a thin client operating system based on the Kaspersky operating system. It aims to provide users with access to remote desktops and can replace local workstations. The partnership between the two parties began with the signing of a memorandum of understanding in 2022, where Shengteng Information will pre install the Kaspersky thin client on its hardware platform (CentermF620 thin client) and distribute the product through regional partners and distributors.
