WeChat calling has some inconveniences. First, it requires a good network environment. If you don't have internet access or have a poor signal, you won't be able to use WeChat calling. Second, the sound quality of WeChat calls may not be as clear as regular phone calls, especially in noisy environments. It might be difficult to hear the other person clearly. Furthermore, WeChat calls can be interrupted by other applications. For example, if you are playing a game or watching a video, a WeChat call might pop up and disrupt your experience.
My friend Xiao Li encountered this situation. Once, while on a business trip, he needed to call a colleague to report on his work progress. He thought it would be convenient to use WeChat calling and didn't use a regular phone. However, the network signal in his location was poor and the WeChat call kept disconnecting.
