To further empower global travelers to experience China effortlessly with a single mobile app and foster international exchange, the Alipay app has recently launched support for 16 languages, encompassing French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Turkish, Malay, Indonesian, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and previously available Chinese and English.

Take Italian as an example. Users, upon downloading Alipay, can directly access the Italian version. Whether it's "main scanning" (scanning the merchant's QR code) or "being scanned" (presenting a QR code to be scanned by the merchant), the service interface is displayed in Italian. Beyond payment functionality, the Alipay homepage offers a range of services commonly used by foreign travelers, such as hotel booking. Leveraging Alipay's internal translation tool, users can instantly translate information into Italian, facilitating a seamless Chinese experience for foreign tourists using their familiar language.

This Alipay service refresh will benefit numerous visa-free country tourists, including those from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Malaysia, Thailand, and more. Since 2023, China's visa-free circle has been expanding significantly, with policies such as 144-hour transit visa exemption attracting even more foreign visitors. A series of convenient payment initiatives allow foreign tourists, regardless of whether they use bank cards, mobile payments, or cash, to enjoy seamless travel and shopping in China, experiencing Chinese traditional culture, exploring stunning natural landscapes, and checking out local delicacies.
