On the morning of December 18th, the grand opening ceremony of the 12th China University Students' Polymer Materials Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals was held in Guangrao County, Dongying City, Shandong Province, under the theme of "Sun Wu's Hometown, Modern City, Happy Guangrao". This year's finals adopted a combined online and offline judging method, leveraging modern technology to ensure fairness, impartiality, and efficiency. Sixty outstanding teams from universities across the country, selected through rigorous rounds of competition, reached the finals. These teams presented their work online via Tencent Meeting and simultaneously underwent offline centralized review by the judging committee. This powerful committee comprised authoritative experts from research institutes, universities, renowned domestic and international industry enterprises, and investment institutions, ensuring the professionalism and authority of the judging results. Mr. Ma Liangqing, Director of the National Rubber and Tire Quality Inspection and Testing Center and former Chairman of the Rubber Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, served as the chairman of the judging committee, providing invaluable experience and expertise.

In his opening address, Mr. Dong Zhiyong, Deputy County Magistrate of Guangrao County, warmly welcomed the contestants. He highlighted Guangrao County's unique advantages as a thousand-year-old county and a strong economic county, particularly its leading position in the petrochemical and tire industries. He emphasized the county's commitment to an innovation-driven development strategy, attracting and cultivating high-level talent to foster a favorable environment for the polymer materials industry.
