Site Description: Yancheng Institute of Technology was founded in June 1958 and is a full-time undergraduate institution in Jiangsu Province. It implements a management system of provincial and municipal co construction, with a provincial-based approach. It is located in Yancheng, a new industrial center city along the eastern coast of Jiangsu Province, known as the "Oriental Wetland Capital, Crane and Deer World". In May 1996, with the approval of the former National Education Commission, Yancheng Industrial College and Yancheng Vocational University merged to form Yancheng Institute of Technology, establishing the first undergraduate college in Yancheng City. In February 2000, with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the original Yancheng Accounting School was merged into Yancheng Institute of Technology.
