According to public sources, Jin Yaochu, born in 1966 in Wujiang, Jiangsu, is an academician of the European Academy of Sciences, a member of the International Association of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEEFellow), a national distinguished expert and professor. He has served as a "Finnish Outstanding Professor" at the Finnish Academy of Sciences and the Finnish National Innovation Agency, and as a "Humboldt Artificial Intelligence Chair Professor" at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany.

He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering, a Master of Engineering, and a PhD in Engineering from Zhejiang University in 1988, 1991, and 1996, respectively, and a PhD in Engineering from Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany in 2001; From 1991 to 1997, served as a teaching assistant, lecturer, and associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Zhejiang University; From 1998 to 1999, he engaged in postdoctoral research in the Department of Industrial Engineering at New Jersey State University in the United States. From 2001 to 2010, he served as a senior scientist and chief scientist at the Honda (Europe) Research Institute in Germany. In 2010, he joined the Computer Science Department at the University of Surrey in the UK as a professor of computational intelligence. In 2019, he was promoted to the position of "Surrey Distinguished Professor". From 2021 to 2023, he served as a professor of artificial intelligence at the Humboldt Institute of Technology at the University of Bielefeld in Germany.

In terms of academia, Jin Yaochu has published 5 monographs and over 500 papers in multiple IEEE journals and academic conferences such as CVPR, NeuroIPS, ICLR, and ACMMM. He has obtained 9 patents from the United States, European Union, and Japan.
