Wang Jianyu, academician of the CAS Member, executive deputy chief designer and chief commander of the world's first independently developed quantum science experiment satellite "Mozi", told the primary and middle school students in his hometown the story behind the success of "Mozi".

Academician Wang Jianyu is a 1975 graduate of Ningbo No.2 Middle School. Before the lecture, he presented a bouquet of flowers to his homeroom teacher and physics teacher Du Meijuan, expressing his respect for the teacher.

Quantum satellites are one of the 'dreams' of scientists, "said Academician Wang Jianyu, a dreamer who was very excited as he looked up at the green" Mozi "slowly crossing the vast night sky. As the world's first quantum satellite, the development of "Mozi" has no precedent to follow, and its success has enabled China to achieve international "leadership" in this field. Academician Wang Jianyu shared some stories behind the success of "Mozi" with primary and secondary school students. For example, Zhang Liang, the chief designer of quantum key communication machines, was born in 1985. During an experiment on transporting equipment up a mountain, he cried and called his mentor because the vehicle overturned and the equipment was destroyed. After a period of time, several young people repaired the equipment and successfully carried out the experiment.
