On October 14th, the 24th China Patent Award was announced in Dalian, Liaoning. 29 invention and utility model patents, including "peptide derivative fusion inhibitors for HIV infection" and "linkage mechanisms for controlling aircraft landing gear doors", have won the China Patent Gold Award.

The China Patent Award was established in 1989. The China Patent Award was jointly established by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Since 1989, it has been successfully selected for 24 times. After more than 30 years of sedimentation and accumulation, the China Patent Award has played an important leading role in stimulating independent innovation and promoting industrial development.

This year's China Patent Award has received more than 2400 invention and utility model patents recommended by relevant departments of the State Council, local intellectual property offices, relevant national industry associations, and academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the CAE Member.

Lu Pengqi, Deputy Director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, introduced that 29 invention and utility model patents, including "peptide derivative fusion inhibitor of HIV infection", were awarded by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization after being reviewed by the China Patent Award Review Committee and publicly announced; 60 invention and utility model patents, including the "Monitoring and Testing System for Landfill Gas and Leachate Transmission Process", have won the Chinese Patent Silver Award; 777 invention and utility model patents, including the automatic packaging and metering device of drugs, have won the Chinese Patent Excellence Award.

Deng Hongsen, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, said in a video speech that China has become the world's leading engine for promoting technological innovation and creation. At present, the scale of China's digital economy exceeds 45 trillion yuan. China has also become a leading developing country in the export volume of creative products, and intellectual property rights have played an important role behind this growth. (End)
