Compared to the version released in March 2023, TechInsights has lowered its smartphone shipments for the entire year of 2023 from 1.1881 billion units to 1.16 billion units (a decrease of 23.3 million units), a decrease of 2.8% compared to the 1.2 billion units in 2022.

TechInsights also predicts that Samsung and Apple will continue to lead the global smartphone market, followed closely by Chinese brands such as Xiaomi and Huawei. In addition, brands other than the top ten, Google Pixel phones and Nokia HDM phones, are expected to maintain stable growth in the next two years.
