Site Description: Jinan Railway Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1951, and was upgraded to Jinan Railway College from 1958 to 1963. In 1980, it was announced as one of the first batch of national key vocational schools. In 2000, the People's Government of Shandong Province approved the renovation of Jinan Railway Machinery School into Jinan Railway Vocational and Technical College. In November 2004, the college was changed from being under the direct management of the Ministry of Railways to the Education Department of Shandong Province. It has trained more than 40000 technical talents with both moral integrity and talent for both the railway and Shandong Province. The college campus covers an area of 825 acres, with a building area of 255000 square meters. It has six departments of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information engineering, civil engineering, biological engineering and management, with 8701 students on campus.
