A case of monkeypox detected during surveillance in Tianjin

According to the Tianjin Center for Disease Control and Prevention, on July 6, one suspected case of Monkeypox virus infection was found and reported through surveillance in Tianjin. The case was tested by the laboratories of the municipal and district centers for disease control and prevention and rechecked by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the result was positive for Nucleic acid test of Monkeypox virus

According to the Tianjin Center for Disease Control and Prevention, on July 6, one suspected case of Monkeypox virus infection was found and reported through surveillance in Tianjin. The case was tested by the laboratories of the municipal and district centers for disease control and prevention and rechecked by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the result was positive for Nucleic acid test of Monkeypox virus.

On July 7, the national clinical expert group consulted and diagnosed a confirmed case of Monkeypox virus infection. The patient is currently undergoing isolation treatment at a designated medical institution and the condition is stable.
