Today, China Eastern Airlines officially received the second domestically produced C919 large passenger aircraft in Shanghai. At 10 a.m., the plane was transferred from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and officially "joined" the fleet of China Eastern Airlines.The arrival of a new C919 aircraft marks the acceleration of China Eastern Airlines' commercial operation of the C919 large passenger aircraft.

It is reported that the C919 large aircraft received by China Eastern Airlines this time is the second of the first batch of 5 C919 aircraft purchased by China Eastern Airlines, and the cabin layout is consistent with the first aircraft.

On July 14, the East China Regional Administration of Civil Aviation issued the nationality registration certificate, Airworthiness certificate and radio station license of the second C919 aircraft to China Eastern Airlines, marking that the aircraft has been qualified for commercial operation and meets the airworthiness requirements of civil aviation regulations. According to the plan of China Eastern Airlines,The second C919 will partner with the first aircraft and be first launched on the China Eastern Airlines' "Shanghai Hongqiao Chengdu Tianfu" air express lineIn the future, more routes will be gradually expanded.

As the world's first user of domestically produced C919 large passenger aircraft, China Eastern Airlines officially took over the world's first delivery aircraft of the C919 on December 9, 2022; On May 28, 2023, China Eastern Airlines successfully completed the round-trip flight of the first commercial flight of C919, "Shanghai Hongqiao Beijing Capital". Afterwards, this C919 served passengers on the Shanghai Chengdu Express.As of July 12th, the first C919 has carried out a total of 87 commercial flightsAmong them, there are 2 flights from Beijing to Shanghai and 85 flights from Shanghai to Chengdu, with an average occupancy rate of nearly 80%. The total number of passengers served is 11095, and the total commercial operation time is 250.10 hours.
