In the first half of 2023, the geological exploration unit affiliated to the China Nuclear Industry Geology Bureau discovered through exploration that the resources of sandstone uranium exploration projects in the northern Sedimentary basin increased significantly. Among them, a new horizon for uranium exploration has been discovered in the Ordos Basin, achieving new breakthroughs in the Cretaceous strata; New ore deposits have been discovered in the areas of Traaobao and Xinzhuang, and through detailed investigation, it is expected to form large-scale uranium deposits. In addition, new progress has also been made in uranium prospecting in the Ili Basin, Songliao Basin and Erlian Basin. New uranium resources have reached a record high, effectively realizing the strategic transfer of Natural uranium production capacity from hard rock in the south to sandstone in the north.
