It is reported that there are more than 50 Graphene research institutions and application enterprises in Chongqing, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences Chongqing Green Intelligent Technology Research Institute, Chongqing Graphene Manufacturing Innovation Center, and Chongqing Graphene Research Institute Co., Ltd., which have formed a complete innovation chain, industrial chain and service chain. The 14th Five Year Plan for the Development of Strategic Emerging Industries in Chongqing (2021-2025) also clearly proposes to accelerate the industrialization and engineering of Graphene and other cutting-edge new materials; Actively promote the application demonstration of Graphene in energy storage, new displays, biomedicine and other fields.

Yuan Jiahu, president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Chongqing Green Intelligent Technology Research Institute, Ge Fan, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice chairman of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, and Jia Ziwen, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Chongqing Hi tech Zone, attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered speeches. At the forum, 19 experts and scholars made theme reports and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the development of Graphene industry with participants. At the same time, the project roadshow and Graphene product display were also held during the forum.

Xiao Jinsong, director of the Institute of Materials Industry of CCID Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released the Competitiveness Index of Graphene Industry Development in China (2023) at the forum, which objectively, comprehensively and systematically evaluated and analyzed the development level, level and characteristics of Graphene industry in 31 provinces (regions and cities) of China from three key areas of Graphene industry development, including development environment, industrial development and innovation capability.

Xiao Jinsong introduced that, according to the development competitiveness index of China's Graphene industry in 2023, the Graphene industry in eastern China is generally at a high level of development. Six places, including Jiangsu, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong and Zhejiang, have been in the "first echelon" of Graphene industry development in China for three consecutive years. In addition, the development of Graphene industry in the western region is mainly driven by Sichuan and Chongqing. At the same time, Shaanxi is expected to form a Graphene industry development cluster with Sichuan and Chongqing to enhance the radiation effect on the overall development of Graphene industry in the western region.

On the same day, Graphene Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences also signed cooperation agreements with six units, including Chengdu Document Information Center, Ningbo Detai Zhongyan Information Technology Co., Ltd., Western (Chongqing) Science City Advanced Data Center, Rambang Capital, Chongqing Shangxin Micro Equity Investment Fund, and China Science Guanghua (Chongqing) New Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd., to carry out the construction of China's Graphene knowledge service platform, Graphene and carbon materials integrated services Graphene and carbon material research and computing services, Graphene project investment, Graphene sewage treatment materials project research and other cooperation, further optimize the industrial ecology and promote the development of industrial clusters.
