The Fanjingshan Spider is one of the newly discovered species in the Fanjingshan. It was discovered by Li Haibo, the director of the Scientific Research and Education Management Section of the Bureau, in the biodiversity survey of the buffer zone of the Mount Fanjing heritage site. Its achievements were published in the international journal Animal Taxonomy. Li Haibo, who has been engaged in field animal and plant investigation for nearly 10 years, said, "The Fanjing Spider belongs to the Kinabalu Spider Species Group, the difference is that the front edge of the copulatory cavity is slightly wider than the rear edge, the copulatory tube is coiled twice, and there are four teeth on the back tooth dike of the chelonex."
