In order to further improve the infrastructure of science popularization and education, and enhance the ability of science popularization and education, in 2023, the Shanxi Pangquangou National Nature Reserve Management Bureau sought to invest 2.7 million yuan and launched the upgrade project of visitor center Chen Buzhan. Adhering to the concept of "a natural section, a microcosm of Pangquan Gully", it utilizes cutting-edge technology, digital empowerment, specimen display, and natural scene creation to create a digital, immersive, and interactive science popularization exhibition hall. This is a base that integrates resource protection, scientific research, popular science education, and teaching experiments. It is an important window for the Pangquangou National Nature Reserve Management Bureau to showcase scientific research and protection achievements and an important platform for foreign cooperation and exchange.

One is to emphasize display and professionalism, and create a new hall of popular science knowledge. The Visitor Center has a construction area of 900 square meters and is divided into two floors. It has multiple exhibition areas for animals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, plants, insects, vegetation ecosystems, interactive experience platforms, and more. It collects over 3900 animal and plant specimens, all collected from the Pangquangou Nature Reserve.

The overall movement of the Visitor Center is centered around various immersive natural landscapes, with biodiversity as the material.
