However, there are differences between the lunar soil data released by China this time and the data from the United States, first and foremost being the obvious differences visible to the naked eye. The lunar soil samples brought back by the Apollo program in the United States are gray in color, similar to cement, while the lunar soil from China's Chang'e-5 spacecraft appears darker in color, similar to black soil. In addition, there are differences in density among the lunar soil samples this time. According to the lunar soil density provided by the United States back then, the Chinese Chang'e-5 return module should carry 2 kilograms of lunar soil. However, in fact, after returning, scientists found that the density of lunar soil was relatively low, with a total weight of only 1.7 kilograms.

This data difference does not prove that the US lunar landing plan was forged, in fact, it is caused by the differences in lunar landing sites between China and the United States. The various elements and substances on the moon are not evenly distributed, so the soil density varies at different locations.
