Under the US chip rules, domestic manufacturers are participating in chip research and development, increasing the development speed of self-developed chips. Within a period of time, there has been a wave of chip making in China, with the establishment of companies related to chips skyrocketing.

So the trend of core making has come and gone quickly, and domestic core making teams and research institutions have begun to adjust their development strategies.

Roughly speaking, OPPO announced that it had abandoned its self-developed chip project. Originally, OPPO had already developed two chips, but due to the uncertainty of the global economy and the mobile phone industry, OPPO ultimately took the step of giving up. This also reveals that self-developed chips are not as simple as imagined. It is necessary to ensure funding, talent, technology, operation, and other aspects in order for self-developed chips to continue to develop.

Looking at the situation of Damo Academy, it is a top research institution in China, under the umbrella of Alibaba, with over ten research and development laboratories, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, autonomous driving, and so on. However, there was news from the Dharma Academy that they had abandoned the research and development of autonomous driving, and the relevant team was merged into Cainiao Group.

Autonomous driving is a cutting-edge research field that involves chip technology, perception technology, decision-making and planning technology, control technology, and more. Da Mo Yuan has solved various technical problems and created the "Little Man Donkey" logistics unmanned vehicle.

Da Mo Academy has no technical issues, but even the best technology needs to realize value and be useful in the commercial market. Logistics unmanned vehicles are a niche field, and in order to continue to develop, it is necessary to make the most of everything. Therefore, the integration of the autonomous driving team of Da Mo Academy into Cainiao Group is considered the best arrangement.

Domestic chip manufacturing giant SMIC International also received news that in the first quarter of this year, its revenue was 10.209 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 13.9%, and its net profit was 1.591 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 44%.

As the largest chip manufacturer in China, SMIC International is highly anticipated by many people, and last year SMIC achieved its best performance in history, with a net profit of 12.133 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13%. In the first quarter of this year, the situation of SMIC International was affected by the decline in demand, resulting in a decline in wafer sales and capacity utilization.

This indicates that SMIC still has a lot to work on, utilizing its expertise in process technology to establish connections with more customers and complete the chip OEM required by customers.

There are still many domestic manufacturers intensifying their industrial chain layout, deepening their self-developed technology, and cultivating more outstanding integrated circuit talents. At the national level, there is also strong support for domestic manufacturers to manufacture chips and provide tax incentives.
