Musk: "Remote work is a moral issue

Due to the decline in productivity, investors' expectations are increasing, soMore and more companies require employees to return to work,This has caused confusion among technology workers in Silicon Valley and around the United States, as it also means that the long-term WFH of freedom may no longer exist.
But Musk made an "explosive statement" in a recent interview: "Working from home is not just a productivity issue, I think it'sIt is morally wrong! Technology workers live in the 'laptop class' of la la land

He also stated thatTechnology workers themselves request to work from home, but expect other service personnel to continue providing on-site/on-site services,This is hypocritical.
They (technology workers) demand to work from home, but why can't others? If everyone works from home, how can cars be produced? How can food be produced
Musk firmly believes that employees returning to work at the company will be more efficient,And refused to advocate working from home again.

After all, as a workaholic, Musk is able to work 7 days a week. Although he does not require everyone to do so, it is normal to have the idea of having employees return to work at the company.
Musk is unique in his approach to work, such asTesla recently issued a new regulation: all recruitment requires his approval!

In an email sent to all employees last Monday, Musk expressed concerns about Tesla's current recruitment practices and statedTesla cannot recruit new employees, including contract workers, unless it obtains his personal approval.
Musk said he wants to better understand who Tesla is recruiting and which departments are recruiting, so he requires his consent for all new employees' onboarding.
He also requested Tesla executives to send him a weekly recruitment application list and warned them to "think twice" before sending requests.

Tesla's performance in the first quarter of this year was not satisfactory, with revenue of $23.329 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24%. The net profit for the first quarter was $2.513 billion, a decrease of 24% year-on-year. After announcing its results, Tesla's stock price plummeted by over 6% after hours.
What worries analysts even more is that Musk also stated on the first quarter financial report conference call that Tesla would rather give up its profit level further in order to increase sales.
It is reported that since taking over as Tesla's CEO in 2008, Musk has been involved in Tesla's new employee recruitment and budget approval. This is undoubtedly a huge workload for a company that employs about 30000 people every year!
The employees' interpretation of Musk's email "Recruitment requires approval" last Monday is as followsEither this means a disguised freeze on recruitment, or he is starting to refocus on Tesla.
Since acquiring Twitter last year, it has been claimed that Musk has no time to care about Tesla. HoweverAfter appointing a new CEO for Twitter recently, it seems like he can start managing Tesla in detail again.

Regarding Tesla's CEO's attitude towards remote work and the company's current strict recruitment situation, will Tesla still be your dream company from the beginning?
