[Global Network Technology Comprehensive Report] On June 29, it was reported that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the Regulations of the China on Radio Frequency Division (Order No. 62 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, hereinafter referred to as the "Division Regulations"), which revised the current "Division Regulations".

The person in charge of the Industrial Policy and Regulations Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pointed out in the interpretation of the "Division Regulations" that the revision of the "Division Regulations" has formed four main achievements:

One is to add frequency division for the IMT (international mobile communication, including 5G/6G) system. Add new frequency divisions for IMT systems in the 6GHz, 26GHz, 40GHz, 70GHz and other frequency bands, providing a regulatory position for the use of 5G/6G system frequencies and stabilizing industry expectations. Taking the lead in dividing the 6GHz frequency band into IMT systems globally is conducive to promoting consistent global or regional division of 5G/6G spectrum resources, providing the necessary intermediate frequency resources for the development of 5G/6G.

The second is to support the sustainable development of satellite internet and the Internet of Things. Establish rules and regulations for satellite water mobility and satellite mobility services in the 150MHz and 400MHz frequency bands respectively, introduce the use of satellite communication earth stations in the 17.7-19.7GHz and 27.5-29.5GHz frequency bands, and clarify the common conditions for low orbit and high orbit satellite systems in some frequency bands of 37.5-51.4GHz.

The third is to ensure the safety of frequency use in major aerospace projects. In relevant frequency bands and certain regions, interference protection for radio services such as satellite Earth exploration, space research, and radio astronomy has been clarified, providing rule guarantees for the use of frequencies in major aerospace engineering and scientific research.

The fourth is to standardize and guide the development of the automotive radar industry. This revision clarifies that the 79-81GHz frequency band radio positioning service will be prioritized for applications such as automotive radar, reserving spectrum resources for the application of automotive intelligent technology and industrial development, and supporting the long-term development of the automotive industry.
