China Education News - China Education News Network (reporter Sun Jun) Recently, the 22nd National Undergraduate Robot Competition ROBOCON ended in Jiangyin Campus of Nanjing University of Science and Technology. The robot team of Qingdao University of Technology under the guidance of Guan Yuanlin, Wang Fei, Liu Songnian, Zhao Juan and other teachers from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of Qingdao University of Technology won the third place nationwide and the first prize nationwide. The two robots designed by the school won the "Best Design Award".

It is understood that the 22nd National Undergraduate Robot Contest ROBOCON was hosted by the Organizing Committee of the National Undergraduate Robot Contest and attracted nearly 3000 contestants from more than 150 teams from 81 well-known universities, including University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Beihang University, Wuhan University, to compete on the same platform. The ROBOCON competition is an international college robot competition initiated by the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). Each year, the host country introduces a new theme based on the historical and cultural characteristics of the country. Participants use mechanical, electronic, and control technologies to create robots. China began hosting the National University Robot Competition ROBOCON in 2002, and the champion team of the competition will represent China in the Asia Pacific Radio and Television Union's Asia Pacific University Robot Competition (ABUROBOCON). The active participation of young students and the strong support of numerous institutions have contributed to the healthy development of the competition.

It is reported that the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of Qingdao University of Technology attaches great importance to the scientific and technological innovation education of students, continues to promote the reform of innovative talent training mode, actively links with high-tech enterprises, innovation and entrepreneurship platforms and other external institutions, focuses on promoting learning through training, leading practice through learning, comprehensively improves students' innovative thinking ability and team cooperation ability, and cultivates talents with innovative entrepreneurship and practical ability. After ten months of preparation, the robot team of the college was promoted to the top four of the country, and finally tied with the team of Wuhan University, the team of Guangzhou City Institute of Technology won the runner up, and the team of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China won the championship and the first prize of the country.
