Recently, OCHAMA, a European omnichannel retail business under JD, announced the addition of delivery to home services in 19 countries. After the expansion of the delivery scope, consumers from 24 European countries can purchase a full range of products including food, 3C, mother and baby, beauty, home appliances, etc. through Ochama one-stop.
It is understood that these 24 countries include the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Online orders will first be produced and packaged through Ochama's automated central warehouse in the Netherlands, and then delivered to consumers in various countries.
For users in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, Ochama also provides self-service shopping services to consumers through partnerships with large chain stores, small and medium-sized businesses, and catering stores. Since the first self pickup point was launched with Blokker, a century old chain retail store in the Netherlands, in May last year, Ochama has operated over 500 self pickup points in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. The self pickup model provides consumers with flexible delivery methods, as well as commission income and additional traffic for these offline stores. Recently, Ochama has also upgraded its self pickup service, extending the ordering time from 10pm to 12pm, and opening more self pickup time windows to meet consumers' different timeliness needs.
With the further penetration of e-commerce in Europe, Europe has become the largest e-commerce market after China and the United States. The different penetration rates in various countries and regions also make the development of online shopping in Europe full of imagination and potential.
